Of This Earth
A 3-Night Embodied Yoga Retreat at Cabilla, Cornwall
September 2026 | Temperate Rainforest Sanctuary
Where Forest, Body & Breath Meet.
Of This Earth is a 3-night embodied yoga retreat set within 300 acres of rare Atlantic temperate rainforest in Cornwall.
Daily movement.
Woodland immersion.
Sauna and river swims.
Firelight evenings.
Spacious rest.
A small group. An unhurried rhythm. Limited spaces.
The Experience
For three nights in the temperate rainforest of Cabilla, our rhythm is intentional and unhurried.
Mornings begin with embodied practice.
Afternoons unfold between woodland wandering, river swims and sauna heat.
Evenings gather softly — shared seasonal meals, elemental practice, sound baths and firelight beneath one of the UK’s designated Dark Sky environments.
Surrounded by woodland, river, dark skies and soil, this retreat invites you into direct relationship with the living world and your own living body.
Bare feet on forest floor.
Breath in cool morning air.
Warmth of sauna against skin.
Everything is invitational.
Just practice woven through land and lived experience.
Our Retreat Home
We gather at Cabilla Cornwall, a 300-acre rewilding sanctuary in the South West of England.
You’ll stay in beautifully designed off-grid Koyts tucked into woodland - warm, comfortable and intentionally simple. Built for rest. Built for quiet.
We have exclusive access to The Barns - Cabilla’s communal heart - home to warm dining spaces, monsoon showers, cosy sitting areas with a panoramic log burner and a nature library.
There are indoor studios for movement and meditation, and an outdoor Rainforest Studio by the river where practice unfolds immersed in birdsong, water and trees.
Many guests describe feeling a shift the moment they arrive - as if the land itself is doing part of the holding.
The Practice
Across our days together, we explore the elemental body:
We move as Earth — steady, grounded, supported
We flow as Water — responsive, fluid, alive
We breathe as Air — spacious, listening, open
We kindle Fire — warmth, discernment, clarity
Each element becomes a doorway into how you live beyond the retreat.
Movement is slow and relational — grounded in Trika philosophy, somatic awareness and nervous system care. You do not need to be experienced in yoga to attend. All practices are guided with options and spaciousness.
Expect:
Twice-daily embodied yoga
Elemental themed practices across the weekend
Somatic inquiry informed by non-dual Tantra
Breath as relationship

What People Are Saying
The antidote to modern life.
“Pure magic and food for the soul - Claire's retreats are the antidote to modern life. I left with my soul lighter and body freer. Every single practice moved me deeply: the movement was liquid poetry. Every day, a new layer shed and I left with a new lease on life. How I felt during and after the week: embodied, uplifted, inspired, nourished, encouraged, loved, safe.”
— LouJoyful and replenishing.
“Claire’s retreat was such a joyful and replenishing experience. I went on my own which was slightly nerve wracking but Claire creates such an open and welcoming atmosphere that I felt totally comfortable in the group from day one. Thank you so so much for everything you put into retreats; you really do have a gift for creating these kinds of welcoming and connected spaces.”
— JessDeepened my connection to myself and the Earth.
“This retreat was nothing short of transformative. It deepened my connection to myself, to the Earth, and to the people around me in ways I never expected. I felt completely supported. Claire created a space that was both nurturing and empowering. I left feeling renewed, grounded, and profoundly in touch with the essence of who I am.”
